Threads of love

You fight with her for silly reasons, yet she is a panacea for your problems. from your first crush to pehla break up she there to lend her shoulder, she tolerates all your pranks yet often tell lies to save you from punishments. And now if you have realized that 'sis is bliss' it’s the time to thank your sister and pamper her on rakshabandhan.
Just a day left for the auspicious festival and sisters are busy decorating puja thalis with roli and diya and applying mehndi on their hands a night before the occassion, markets and streets are inundated with colourful, glittering rakhies and some cartoon rakhies for kids too. And if you still haven’t made up your mind on what to gift your sister on this day, various companies have some fabulous offers to help you. Photo frames, crystal showpieces cool accessories and soft toys there are many options other than cards and chocolates.
The postal department has also come up with its Rakhi envelopes specially designed in a way so that rakhis don’t get damaged on the way and safely reaches its destination. Thus providing an aid to the sisters to send rakhies to their distant living brothers.
While most of the brothers can be seen shopping with their sisters, many elder sisters can also be seen buying gifts for their little brothers on this occasion." If you are an elder sister you have dual role to play, you are a good friend as well a guide to your younger siblings and as your brother grows up you share a greater sense of understanding with him and show a motherly love and care for him." says Richa Srivastava, an elder sister.
Remember the sweet and sour relationship of Genelia with her brother in Jane tu ya jane na or the award winning role or Juhi chawla as elder sister in the movie My Brother Nikhil. the siblings today are 'best buddies' and share a lot more than just their rooms."The best thing about this relationship is that in certain situations where your parents fail to understand you your brother or sister holds your hand and helps you walk through hardships of life," says Anuraag Mishra a student.
With rakshabandhan comes a long list of gifts especially if you have more than one sister, and many think this festival is just a way to empty the pockets of brothers. But ironically it's not the materialistic love obscured under costly gifts that matters but your love for your sister. The warmth and affection furled in these colorful threads shows the true love of behna for her bhaiya and desire for her brother's happiness, perhaps that’s what makes their relation the most immaculate and precious in this universe.

ITS NOT WHAT YOU DO,BUT HOW YOU DO
A famous chinese thinker, confucious said, "Choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life"
With 47 percent people below the age of 20 years, the youth constitute 160 million (approx.) which certainly shows that india's future is india's new found generation-india's youth.india's youth have already made enoromous impact globally and will continue to influence economy, media and culture in the coming years.
With globalisation and neck-cut competition increasing everyday i think today the best job is to find a good job, jokes apart, today youths are more job oriented and want to become financialy independent as soon as possible. hence many students go for jobs in call centres along with their studies.
Unlike previous generations, where job was a matter of concern only after post graduation, today's youth want a sure and short way to success. i think there are immence oppertunities for students in private sectors. with many MNCs investing in india, coorporate sector attracts lot of youths.with materialistic approach today youths have more globalised openions and so instead of worrying about the ins and outs of politics, youths today are more concerned about the infrastructural progress of the nation. instead of tradional courses like BA or BSc today most of the youths go for professional courses like MBA, BCA, or engineering which ensures them with better job oppertunities in future.
Out of the teenage population, 22 million youths comprise the urban middle class, who will start their own company and influence the economy, while another 100 million belong to rural class who are tasting their first fruit of success.
Except for jobs like IAS and PCS that also by rural class, govt. jobs are less prefered by the students. due to high corruption in the selection process and less scope of freedom even defence services are the second preference of youths. todoy youths want promising results of their hard work and desire to lead a luxurios lifestyle which is only possible in a private sector job. hence most of the students in search of greener pastures are switching to private sector. as a result fields like research and agriculture are usually the less traded ones.
As compared to govt. jobs private sector jobs not only offers perks with good salary, but there are better prospects of growth in private sector. unlike govt. jobs, there are no boudries in private sector job, one has more scope of creativity and experiment.also your tallent is noticed, which is not possible in a 10 to 5 job of o govt. sector.
Apart from this, there are students who also prefer offbeat careers like animation, choreography, photography or media. in a desire to stand apart from crowd, this RDB generation is even ready to leave their well settled job break social taboos to follow their heart. Remember the dialouge in lakshya, "Chahe ghaas kaatne wala bano, par achha ghaas kaatne wala bano" as for todays youth its not WHAT YOU DO, BUT WHAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU DO.
BANN ON SEX EDUCATION
With 11 states already banned sex education and govt. denying to include sex education as fundamental right, it seems sex education is still off the charts. Now read this:
TODAY WITH 5.7 MILLION PEOPLE HIV POSITIVE INDIA IS THE SECOND LARGEST HUB OF DISEASE AFTER SOUTH AMERICA AND AMONG THESE 5.7 MILLION PEOPLE 40 PR CENT ARE WOMEN WHO HAVENT HEARD OF AIDS, ALL THIS CREATING A DANGEROUS COMBINATION OF LACK OF KNOWLADGE AND GREATOR SEXUAL ACTIVITY.AN INDIA TODAY MAGZINE SURVEY LAST YAER SHOWED ONE IN FOUR INDIAN WOMEN AGES 18 TO 30 IN 11 CITIES HAD SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE.WITH INCREASING TEENAGE PREGNANCIES, IF YOU STILL THINK SEX EDUCATION IS NOT NECESSARY IN COURSE CURRICULUM,THINK AGAIN.
There are a lot of misconceptions about sex education. sex education is not just about sex or how to have safe sex and neither it means that getting educated about sex students will start experimenting it.Instead sex education delays the start of sexual activity.Researchers have found no support for the contention that sex education encourages sexual experimentation.
Too many people think that neither sex education nor AIDS education is compatible with their notion of indian culture, perhaps they are more concerned about the culture than lives of the young people.
In a country like india were only a few are liberal to talk about sex, a majority still comes from a conservative background, it is necessary to bridge the cultural gap.
Most of the parents are not aware of their role in imparting sex education or they think that their children are too young and innocent to know and understand about sex education. But with internet and media all open its something useless to beleive.Indians are scared of sex and their coyness aboet it is fueling AIDS in india. The fact is parents do not want to handle it themselves and when schools handle it they creat objection.

Its not what is taught but more importantly how it is taught about sex education. The course and the curriculum should be more scientific than provocative. The students should feel comfortable seeking council on sex education. The tactic is to speak the same language as students and and keep an open mind.Instead of getting worngly or partially awared about sex education through internet and magzines its better to get properly educated about sex at school itself.
Banning sex education on the grounds that it offends indian sensibilities puts young lives at risk and jeopardises the fight against aids.Sex education is necessary and it should be included in the course curriculum.
