The recent case of a BSP MLA Shekhar Tiwari accused of murdering a PWD engineer might be just a minor incident for our behenji, but it has certainly raised a question, Should politicians with criminal background be allowed to contest elections?
In recent years, there have been outnumbered cases of many politicians with criminal backgrounds accused of henious crimes including murder, extortion, and rape. Whethere its BSP, SP, BJP or congress every party has such rowdy elements.
I think giving tickets to such criminals is like giving them licence to committ crime. Most of these people with criminal backgrounds are given tickets to contest elections only after assuring that they would not indulge in unlawful activities anymore. Ironically, when these people get tickets they blatently misuse their power. And when any innocent family becomes a victim of their brutal acts, it has to face the brunt of their atrocitiies. From Manjunath to MK Gupta many die but government refuses to take action, and even if the accused MLA is arrested he is given the VIP treatment. Various political parties take no time to make use of the situation through their filthy game of politics. But nobody can redeem for what the family of MK Gupta has lost. What will you do when any member of your family is brutally beaten to death and you watch everything helplessly?

Memories down the lane

I'VE ALWAYS found friends as a greatest source of happiness. no matter how bad your day has been, if you meet a hand full of good friends, even a gloomy day turns out be a happy one. And after a boring day, you badly need your friends to be happy. But now when holidays have just begun i really miss my friends. Exhausted by the days work when i return home late at night, another source to enlighten my mood is remembering about sweet-sour memories of my school days, i don't know about others but my school days are the best days of my life. now i often think about the pranks and punnishments at schol and laugh. and i would love to share a few of them in my blog space.
the month of december reminds me of our annual events. one of th event was 'Tallents Day'. Tallents Day an annual event for many of the students to showcase their tallent. this event included a hostfull of events like singing, extempore, debate, essay writting, drawing, and many other competitions. for bringing out the hidden tallent from among the students our princi made it compulsory for every student to take part in atleast one event. And our class teacher selected singing as the compelsory event for students. During the auditions, that is class-level selection for the singing competition, the so called romeos of our class used this oppertunity to express their love to their girls. and amidst all this we had to bare the phata baases of our class. and if any member of this romeo group was selected for the finals the competition use to be unimaginable, when songs like Jaadu hai tera hi jadu... and pehla nasha... echoed in the auditorium everyone use to wonder for whom the love-lorn romeo was singing? everyone use to whisper the name of the girl, and the brats of the romeo gang use to houl and hoot from back. poor girl in the mid of coyness and shame looked at her boy with squinting eyes. Sometimes even girls din't hesisate to express their love. The romeos use to make every effort to ensure that their lady-love realised that they were singing for her, some times the lyrics hit the correct shot, but most of the time they were mishit, as not their love but some other girl was impressed by their song. and then whole year they had to explain her 'no it was not for you'.
everyone use to eagerly wait for the results eventhough everytime the results were premeditated and everyone knew that the lapdogs of the teachers were going to be the winners. then also people like me participated in the event for fun and excitement...

GROW UP!

Its been two years i am staying away from my parents and I think i've learnt to live, adjust and survive. Atleasst now, when i am earning. But still i dont understand often people around me accuse me of being childish or kiddish at times. From my office collegues to college friends and even my relatives everyone says same old words...GROW UP ITISHA, what the hell. I am sick of these words. And even after this i am noi ready to change ( the truth is i've made all possible efforts to grow up but each tme i've failed )
May be i don't want to grow up. yes i dont want to loose my innocence, i really dont understand why one has to be so serious at office? why can't we've some fun along with work? why one has to pretend of being what one is not? I wish i could dance at times when i am overwhelmed with joy, or i could sing just to beat the stress ai work place. I read somewhere "let the child in you live and enjoy" i don't know if it really means to many here or not..
Well everyone teaches me to be PROFFESIONAL...thats what u should be to grow up But WILL Anyone tell me how to be a proffesional? How to GROW UP? Why do we really need to grow up ( esp. mentally) i mean how is it related to my work? ican work seriously at the same time crack jokes, how does it matters at all? if at all anyone can suggest some tips on HOW TO GROW UP?

Threads of love

You fight with her for silly reasons, yet she is a panacea for your problems. from your first crush to pehla break up she there to lend her shoulder, she tolerates all your pranks yet often tell lies to save you from punishments. And now if you have realized that 'sis is bliss' it’s the time to thank your sister and pamper her on rakshabandhan.
Just a day left for the auspicious festival and sisters are busy decorating puja thalis with roli and diya and applying mehndi on their hands a night before the occassion, markets and streets are inundated with colourful, glittering rakhies and some cartoon rakhies for kids too. And if you still haven’t made up your mind on what to gift your sister on this day, various companies have some fabulous offers to help you. Photo frames, crystal showpieces cool accessories and soft toys there are many options other than cards and chocolates.
The postal department has also come up with its Rakhi envelopes specially designed in a way so that rakhis don’t get damaged on the way and safely reaches its destination. Thus providing an aid to the sisters to send rakhies to their distant living brothers.
While most of the brothers can be seen shopping with their sisters, many elder sisters can also be seen buying gifts for their little brothers on this occasion." If you are an elder sister you have dual role to play, you are a good friend as well a guide to your younger siblings and as your brother grows up you share a greater sense of understanding with him and show a motherly love and care for him." says Richa Srivastava, an elder sister.
Remember the sweet and sour relationship of Genelia with her brother in Jane tu ya jane na or the award winning role or Juhi chawla as elder sister in the movie My Brother Nikhil. the siblings today are 'best buddies' and share a lot more than just their rooms."The best thing about this relationship is that in certain situations where your parents fail to understand you your brother or sister holds your hand and helps you walk through hardships of life," says Anuraag Mishra a student.
With rakshabandhan comes a long list of gifts especially if you have more than one sister, and many think this festival is just a way to empty the pockets of brothers. But ironically it's not the materialistic love obscured under costly gifts that matters but your love for your sister. The warmth and affection furled in these colorful threads shows the true love of behna for her bhaiya and desire for her brother's happiness, perhaps that’s what makes their relation the most immaculate and precious in this universe.

ITS NOT WHAT YOU DO,BUT HOW YOU DO
A famous chinese thinker, confucious said, "Choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life"
With 47 percent people below the age of 20 years, the youth constitute 160 million (approx.) which certainly shows that india's future is india's new found generation-india's youth.india's youth have already made enoromous impact globally and will continue to influence economy, media and culture in the coming years.
With globalisation and neck-cut competition increasing everyday i think today the best job is to find a good job, jokes apart, today youths are more job oriented and want to become financialy independent as soon as possible. hence many students go for jobs in call centres along with their studies.
Unlike previous generations, where job was a matter of concern only after post graduation, today's youth want a sure and short way to success. i think there are immence oppertunities for students in private sectors. with many MNCs investing in india, coorporate sector attracts lot of youths.with materialistic approach today youths have more globalised openions and so instead of worrying about the ins and outs of politics, youths today are more concerned about the infrastructural progress of the nation. instead of tradional courses like BA or BSc today most of the youths go for professional courses like MBA, BCA, or engineering which ensures them with better job oppertunities in future.
Out of the teenage population, 22 million youths comprise the urban middle class, who will start their own company and influence the economy, while another 100 million belong to rural class who are tasting their first fruit of success.
Except for jobs like IAS and PCS that also by rural class, govt. jobs are less prefered by the students. due to high corruption in the selection process and less scope of freedom even defence services are the second preference of youths. todoy youths want promising results of their hard work and desire to lead a luxurios lifestyle which is only possible in a private sector job. hence most of the students in search of greener pastures are switching to private sector. as a result fields like research and agriculture are usually the less traded ones.
As compared to govt. jobs private sector jobs not only offers perks with good salary, but there are better prospects of growth in private sector. unlike govt. jobs, there are no boudries in private sector job, one has more scope of creativity and experiment.also your tallent is noticed, which is not possible in a 10 to 5 job of o govt. sector.
Apart from this, there are students who also prefer offbeat careers like animation, choreography, photography or media. in a desire to stand apart from crowd, this RDB generation is even ready to leave their well settled job break social taboos to follow their heart. Remember the dialouge in lakshya, "Chahe ghaas kaatne wala bano, par achha ghaas kaatne wala bano" as for todays youth its not WHAT YOU DO, BUT WHAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU DO.

BANN ON SEX EDUCATION
With 11 states already banned sex education and govt. denying to include sex education as fundamental right, it seems sex education is still off the charts. Now read this:
TODAY WITH 5.7 MILLION PEOPLE HIV POSITIVE INDIA IS THE SECOND LARGEST HUB OF DISEASE AFTER SOUTH AMERICA AND AMONG THESE 5.7 MILLION PEOPLE 40 PR CENT ARE WOMEN WHO HAVENT HEARD OF AIDS, ALL THIS CREATING A DANGEROUS COMBINATION OF LACK OF KNOWLADGE AND GREATOR SEXUAL ACTIVITY.AN INDIA TODAY MAGZINE SURVEY LAST YAER SHOWED ONE IN FOUR INDIAN WOMEN AGES 18 TO 30 IN 11 CITIES HAD SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE.WITH INCREASING TEENAGE PREGNANCIES, IF YOU STILL THINK SEX EDUCATION IS NOT NECESSARY IN COURSE CURRICULUM,THINK AGAIN.
There are a lot of misconceptions about sex education. sex education is not just about sex or how to have safe sex and neither it means that getting educated about sex students will start experimenting it.Instead sex education delays the start of sexual activity.Researchers have found no support for the contention that sex education encourages sexual experimentation.
Too many people think that neither sex education nor AIDS education is compatible with their notion of indian culture, perhaps they are more concerned about the culture than lives of the young people. With 11 states already banned sex education and govt. denying to include sex education as fundamental right, it seems sex education is still off the charts. Now read this:

In a country like india were only a few are liberal to talk about sex, a majority still comes from a conservative background, it is necessary to bridge the cultural gap.
Most of the parents are not aware of their role in imparting sex education or they think that their children are too young and innocent to know and understand about sex education. But with internet and media all open its something useless to beleive.Indians are scared of sex and their coyness aboet it is fueling AIDS in india. The fact is parents do not want to handle it themselves and when schools handle it they creat objection.
Its not what is taught but more importantly how it is taught about sex education. The course and the curriculum should be more scientific than provocative. The students should feel comfortable seeking council on sex education. The tactic is to speak the same language as students and and keep an open mind.Instead of getting worngly or partially awared about sex education through internet and magzines its better to get properly educated about sex at school itself.
Banning sex education on the grounds that it offends indian sensibilities puts young lives at risk and jeopardises the fight against aids.Sex education is necessary and it should be included in the course curriculum.

Hypernationalism

FLAG & NATIONAL ANTHEM : ARE INDIANS OVERSENSITIVE ?
Recently, Sachin Tendulkar faced criticism on cutting a tricolour cake. A model wearing a dress of national flag. From using a tricolour doormat or national flag as a sofa cover, cusion cover or even curtains. Does all these things demonstrate our disrespect towards nation or national flag? US government has given freedom to its people, to burn their national flag for showing their disregardness. Then are Indians oversensitive regarding Flag & National Anthem?
Patriotism should not be synonymous to hyper- nationalism. I beleive, moving around with a tricolour dress or cutting a tricolour cake has nothing to do with respecting national flag & national anthem? It does not show any sort of disrespectness towards our flag, instead it demonstrate our enthusiasm and love towards are country. Taking such methods of demonstrating love towards the nation, as disrespectness towards nation is something unjustified, when eating tricolour sweetsor wearing a tricolour turban on head do not make any difference, then why panting face tricolour or a tricolour tattoo on back displays disrespectness?
Instead of tar getting people on such lucrative issues, one should also see the other side of coin, The intensions behind wearing a flag dress, or panting your hair tricolour are not all disrespecting national flag. Instead inorder to show their love towards nation, often people (esp. youth) try to adopt various innovative and extra ordinary methods to put their feelings into mortal form. Moreover, it does happens most of the time media makes such issues oversensitive. we are so much concerned about our nation & flag only in such nuisance things, every year after independence day celebration thousands of flagsticks are seen lying on the streets, stumped on by people,we find so difficult to even stand up at our national anthem. Where does our respect for our nation goes at that time? instead of getting hyper on such bauble issues one should also ponder over such things first.
There is no sense in making such things an issue, one should see the intention behind wearing a tricolour dress,or cutting a tricolour cake. Our love for our country dosent gets weaken by such things, and after all its about freedom of speech n expression "INDIA IS A FREE COUNTRY N EVERYBODY HAS RIGHT TO EXPRESS HIS/HER LOVE IN HIS/HER WAY"

some words from my heart
Agony of Love...
My loving memories
which were abscured in the shell of past,
have now crumbled to my heart
and recalls all my past.
Those moments when you were my heart
the days when you used to smile for me.
sitting beside me when you brawl with me.
those days glittered with gorgeous flowers,
and night glimmered with gleaming stars.
But gone are those moments, gone are those loving days.
all the flowers and all the stars have lost in the shell of past.
I still remembered your eyes glowing for the sake of mine,
And your lovely lips, lifting for saying me Hi
But now you don't even raise your lips to reply me "goodbye"
Without your pressence
what the hell !
the world has turned out to be ?
now there are no more glittering flowers
and no more gleaming stars.
Wyh dont you understand that
the soul of my love
lies within the core of your heart ?
and still the spirit of my essencewait for your vital pressence
with hope of getting you back.
Becoz you were my heart
and you will be my heart
now and forever....

memories down the lane...
"Memories play a very confusing role in life...
they make you laugh when u remember the time u cried..but make u cry when u
remember the time u laughed together..."
It was the last day of our board exams n perhaps the last day of our school too. SCHOOL DAYS.. the most precious and cherishable days of my life. those funny sobriquets by which we ue to call each other.. those jokes n pranks, n jeering on teachers, bunking periods, those silly brawls, figting for tiffin, eating chochlates, while the teacher is teaching..those explosive exp. in chem labs and dissectins in bio labs, vand above all the HUMARA G GANG... all have lost in the shell of past. now all are in there own feilds of intrests..everyone happy in there own way.. as if time has plucked the flowers of our friendship and scattered in the sky so that each one of us spreads its fragrance and colour in different directions..i hope that once again those flowers will reunite to spread the fragrance of friendship together...
