The recent case of a BSP MLA Shekhar Tiwari accused of murdering a PWD engineer might be just a minor incident for our behenji, but it has certainly raised a question, Should politicians with criminal background be allowed to contest elections?
In recent years, there have been outnumbered cases of many politicians with criminal backgrounds accused of henious crimes including murder, extortion, and rape. Whethere its BSP, SP, BJP or congress every party has such rowdy elements.
I think giving tickets to such criminals is like giving them licence to committ crime. Most of these people with criminal backgrounds are given tickets to contest elections only after assuring that they would not indulge in unlawful activities anymore. Ironically, when these people get tickets they blatently misuse their power. And when any innocent family becomes a victim of their brutal acts, it has to face the brunt of their atrocitiies.From Manjunath to MK Gupta many die but government refuses to take action, and even if the accused MLA is arrested he is given the VIP treatment. Various political parties take no time to make use of the situation through their filthy game of politics. But nobody can redeem for what the family of MK Gupta has lost. What will you do when any member of your family is brutally beaten to death and you watch everything helplessly?

each word written by you is true and that's why person like sanjay dutt also thinks to be next politician i mean do people think if they do illicit things and are shining criminals so they have all the qualities of being a good n respected politician............
